The biennial, National Housing Conference 2023 was hosted in Brisbane for the first time by the Queensland Government at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Examining policy, practice and examples of delivering housing options to Australians, this three day event attended by more than 1260 delegates is the largest housing conference in Australasia. Located in the heart of South Brisbane and within walking distance of both Southbank Parklands and the Brisbane CBD.
Listening to and photographing speakers such as the Hon Julie Collins MP (Federal Minister for Housing and Homelessness), The Hon Meaghan Scanlon MP (Minister for Housing QLD), Pam Barker from Brisbane Youth Services and Amy Hains from Homelessness NSW was an incredibly informative and thought provoking experience.
With the current housing crisis Australia finds itself in it is an honour to be able to participate in our own small way photographing the event to help raise awareness and tackle the single greatest issue facing many Australians.
