Brisbane High School Events

FILED IN: Corporate, Events, Formal

Fast becoming my most popular repeat client is a lovely school on the south side of Brisbane. Over the last two months I have had a wonderful time working very hard for them. Event 1: College Fair, Super fun! I got to photograph fireworks and that’s always a good thing. Such a large event, lots of rides, carnival food, live music by very talented students and even show bags! Epic Event 2: Filming “A Day in the Life” of the school. Start time 7am, wrap time 5pm. Shooting all day with the lovely media coordinator was an epic undertaking but everything ran smoothly and the video turned out fabulous. I hope to get the video on my Youtube channel ASAP.  The video was screened at their Annual Evening of Excellence, which brings me to my next point…. Event 3: Annual Evening of Excellence: It’s funny how I still get butterflies in my stomach when at a public screening. The evening started with my video being shown to all the parents, students and faculty, the school added their adjustments to the video and everyone was smiling 🙂 Then onto the hard work, making sure I captured all the awards as well as the live performance from the cast of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang whom start performing at QPAC this week. My trusty second cameraman Tim was at the event to help with the multi camera video and photo shoot. Can’t wait to show the school their images. Event 4: Valedictorian Dinner: I was busy preparing myself getting ready for my next school Photo shoot at the Gabba when I opened the front door and it looked like doomsday was about to hit. The sky was black and green and a huge storm was about to pour down upon us. With just enough time I managed to wrap myself and my equipment up in plastic and get to the Gabba on time to capture this wonderful dinner for the Grade 12 students, their parents and teachers. Event 5: Last day of year 12: After a late night at the Gabba it was early to College to photograph the last day of the Grade 12 students. I had no idea what to expect at the Ceremony today and it was pretty special. I have never seen so many fancy helium balloons in my life.. my heaven really because as a kid I LOVED helium balloons and as a big kid still do 😀 The images from this day are amazingly vibrant, so much fun, happiness, smiles and tears. Please enjoy a small gallery of highlights from the events below or head on over to facebook to see more I uploaded earlier:
