Tonight Yot Capri hummed along the river like a secret the city had kept for itself, the sunset burned in the background of celebration.
Diane arrived at the new City Botanic Gardens River Hub in a floral summery dress and ready to party on this hot summers afternoon.
We dinned on delectable horderves with the cool breeze in our hair. The clink of glasses and the murmur of old stories resurfacing. A constellation of friendships that time had only deepened.
On the dance floor Diane twirled, hair flying, the city lights sparkled in the background. Speeches with gratitude as she thanked everyone for showing up for fifty remarkable years. Not a dry eye on the boat!
Full of memories behind her and adventures ahead. In every picture the same thing came through: a woman celebrated not for a number, but for the warmth she spreads, the laughter she keeps, and the circle of people who’d come to make this night hers.
Happy Birthday Diane x
