Sometimes we’re lucky enough to get to travel for work, which is awesome!

Last year we photographed for Aus Veg around Queensland when their International Delegates came to town and had our photographs featured in the magazine Vegetables Australia exciting!

Not long after the Queensland Trade Mission I was asked if I would be interested in touring again this time in Victoria, yes!

June 2019, 1 week after our Wedding, we pack ours suitcases and fly down to Melbourne!

Here’s a snippet from Vegetables Australia Magazine about the adventure:

“The annual AUSVEG Reverse Trade Mission (RTM) was in full swing, seeing importers, wholesalers and retailers from seven export markets in Asia visit Victoria to witness the quality of Australia’s fruit and vegetable industries.

From 20-25 June, a group of 40 delegates from Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea, the Philippines, Japan and Hong Kong attended the mission, which was based in Victoria to coincide with Hort Connections 2019.

The RTM is an annual exercise to inform international buyers about the Australian vegetable industry and highlight the quality, safety and integrity of local produce.”

The Mission started with a meet and greet dinner at Vue De Monde, what a view of Melbourne!

Day 1. We started early, flying out to Swan Hill, Victoria to visit Arahura Farms and Rocky Lamattina & Sons. Follow by a group dinner.

Day 2. We hop on the bus and head of to Harvest Moon, Fresh Select and Corrigan Produce Farms. We had a great time, it had been raining a lot this day so at the farms we go ferried around on trackers to see the farms, this is so much fun!

Day 3. Back on the bus, LaManna Premier Group and Ky-D Pak here we come!

Day 4. A morning rest / photo editing catch up! Just after lunch it was time for the Taste Australia – Fresh Produce Showcase at Alluvial Restaurant in the InterContinental Melbourne where we were all staying, handy! In the evening was a Networking Reception hosted by Victorian State Government at Vue de Monde, a wonderful photo opportunity!

What a week! A whirlwind adventure with some of the loveliest people I’ve ever met. A selection of delegates I had met the previous year in Brisbane and it was just delightful to see their smiling faces again this year.

I love having a client return for more photo shoots, it just works. I know the style of photography they like, what images were published last year and was able to replicate and take even better images than the previous year. Here’s to many more photo shoots with Aus Veg!
