Answers to your questions!

Booking a photographer for your companies Conference can be daunting. You’ve spent months planning and you want to get it right!

We love photographing Conferences and shooting at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre!

So we thought it a great idea to write some tips on how to make your photo shoot run smoothly and get the best out of the day.

Tip 1. Think about Sponsor Banner placement in relation to how you want your photographs to look. Banners right behind the lectern or speaker may be partially blocked in the photographs.

Tip 2. Sometimes the auditoriums or plenary may not have full seating occupancy. You can rope of the side seating areas to have attendees sit to the middle of the auditorium, this will make it appear full and can look better for marketing images.

Tip 3. Should we use our flash? We can photograph with and without using a flash depending on the amount of light in a room. We understand that some speakers or moments during ceremonies are best not disturbed and respect not causing distraction during this time but please talk to us about this in advance. We can also aim our flash toward the roof to decrease distracting light.

Tip 4. Please let your speakers, stallholders and attendees know about the presence of photographers. Should any participants not wish to be photographed, we recommend a brightly coloured wristband to help us with easy identification as to not accidentally photograph them.

Tip 5. If you wish to have photographs of suppliers and or stallholders please let them know a start time to be set up by so we can take their photos before the day gets too busy.

Tip 6. To help everything run smoothly on the day, we would greatly appreciate a photo list of any specific required images you would like. We would also love a copy of your site layout, run sheet and an exhibitor list for your Event.

Tip 7. We understand that speakers can be presenting in multiple rooms at the same time, in this case please just let us know the best times to be in each room. We don’t pop in when a video or similar is happening as we don’t want to miss the activities taking place. Generally allow at least 10 minutes in each room for us to capture the events and emotions taking place.

Tip 8. If you have access to a staff room we would love to have access to store our camera equipment on the day, we might need a swipe pass for this.

Tip 9. Photographing all day can be hard work and we would love to join in with your morning tea, lunch and drinks. We’re very good at multi-tasking, we promise!

Tip 10. Photographs generally have a turnaround of approximately two weeks. If you would like any images rushed with same day or next day dropbox turnaround for media releases or similar a surcharge may apply. Please let us know in advance so we can be prepared.

Last Tip. We would love a pre-paid parking pass, please! We bring lots of different equipment on the day to be prepared for all situations.

We love to share the love! Does your business use social media? We love putting a shout out on our pages to your business to let the world know what we’re up to. We are also great at sharing, tagging and re-tweeting so please follow us online
